If you want to learn how to process a whole chicken then this class is for you!
Each participant will get their own bird to process and we’ll go through each step, taking the time to answer questions and provide hands-on instruction on how to harvest, eviscerate, clean and prepare it for your fridge or freezer. This is an amazing opportunity to connect with your food and fully experience and appreciate what it takes to bring an animal from farm to table. This is a small class so we will be able to work with each individual as much as needed. We'll also talk about the difference between a truly pasture-raised bird and the factory-farmed variety, as well as the important part that age, breed, and feed play in the flavor and texture of the meat. Students will go home with their chicken!
